Love Letter Sandwich

Hello friends. Happy Thursday. Today I’m excited to join my friends and share some delicious Valentine’s Day Desserts. Though this is technically not a dessert per se, I think these love letter sandwiches are absolutely adorable and would make such a sweet lunch surprise for your kiddos or even at a galantine’s day party.

You can make use any ingredient you like. I made some with peanut butter and jelly and some with Nutella.
All you need is bread and your choice of spread.

Start by cutting the crust off each piece of bread and with a rolling pin, roll the bread to make it a little flatter.
Cut one of the pieces as shown above.

Cut the top of the second piece into a triangle.

Spread your toppings on the piece of bread with the triangle on top.

Spread your toppings onto your bread…

Place the other piece of bread on top and using a chopstick, press down around the edges to give it a crease.

Fold down the triangle to ‘close’ the envelope or use the triangle you cut from the other piece of bread and place on top.

Seal it with a little heart shaped strawberry or you can use a cookie cutter to cut a heart out of ham or cheese etc.

I think these look so cute. What do you think?
If you’re not a fan of white bread, you can use any type of bread you choose.
Please don’t forget to check out the delicious desserts from my friends below.

much love,

Lucy
